Crowley (
Book of Thoth): "
The Knight of Swords represents the fiery part of Air; he is the wind, the storm. He represents the violent power of motion applied to an apparently manageable element. . . . He is a warrior helmed, and for his crest he bears a revolving wing. Mounted upon a maddened steed, he drives down the Heavens, the Spirit of the Tempest."
Revolution 9 Revelation 9: "And the likenesses of the locusts [are] like to horses made ready to battle . . .
and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings [is] as the noise of chariots of many horses running to battle; and they have tails like to scorpions"
The Knights in the Crowley deck are the equivalent of the Kings in the RWS deck, so this would be switched
ReplyDeleteAnd Nausicaa would be a Page (Princess)?
I know, but I was playing with the idea of this card as the "Rider on the Storm" (as discussed in Always Record #3). While I wasn't exactly happy about putting Nausicaa here, I see her as a literal "Rider on the Storm."
