Crowley (Book of Thoth): "The Knight of Swords represents the fiery part of Air; he is the wind, the storm. He represents the violent power of motion applied to an apparently manageable element. . . . He is a warrior helmed, and for his crest he bears a revolving wing. Mounted upon a maddened steed, he drives down the Heavens, the Spirit of the Tempest."
Revolution 9Revelation 9: "And the likenesses of the locusts [are] like to horses made ready to battle . . . and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings [is] as the noise of chariots of many horses running to battle;and they have tails like to scorpions"
I know, but I was playing with the idea of this card as the "Rider on the Storm" (as discussed in Always Record #3). While I wasn't exactly happy about putting Nausicaa here, I see her as a literal "Rider on the Storm." I open to changing it.
The Knights in the Crowley deck are the equivalent of the Kings in the RWS deck, so this would be switched
ReplyDeleteAnd Nausicaa would be a Page (Princess)?
